This campaign was inspired by the Folklorama experience, which allows attendees to experience food, entertainment and customs from around the world. It allows people to see many different cultures without the expensive and time-consuming transportation. The “Travel the World” campaign’s graphics and colour palette were inspired by vintage airmail postage, airline branding and flight maps. The sans serif fonts are blocky and bold, reminiscent of the type on passports and boarding passes. The design is vibrant and fun, evoking the exciting feeling of traveling. It entices the audience to come along on an adventure with Folklorama and to see the world from the comfort of Winnipeg.
